Tech Lighting and LBL Lighting have come out with a new component for track lighting, railtones. It is a wireless speaker for audio!
Railtone speakers can be mounted on track systems, 12 volt and 24 volt monorail systems and standard track, on individual canopies aka free jack systems, and adapters are available so it can replace a recessed can. It is nice to have an option of spreading music throughout your home or office with this new railtone technology. There is no limit as to how many speakers you can use, the range of each speaker varies depending on the material in the space. The wireless transmitter can be plugged into almost any audio device with USB, 3.5mm earphone jack (like the ones on ipod's, iphone's or MP3 players), RCA jack, or there is also a plug-in power supply when you use a device other than a computer.
Railtones provides a way to have speakers anywhere you want, all you need is a standard electrical box and you can have both lighting and sound! It is great for entertaining and for your personal enjoyment!
