Cleaver Mounting

Photo's from Desire to Inspire
Design by Laura Alvarez Architecture

Do you know what I love about these pictures, other than the gorgeous space and design; I love how the pendants are mounted to the ceiling. You can tell from the second picture that they have used only one power source here to mount 3 individual pendants that is why there are cords swaging from all the canopies. This is a very creative way to use an off-centered power source. The power is connected to the pendant on the far end and then the power is swung to the other canopies. Not many people would realize that the cords are not meant to be exposed and linking to the other canopies like this- Very cleaver problem solving going on here, very cleaver indeed!

Inspiration: Luxury Flat at One Hyde Park

Flat at One Hyde Park

Photo's from The Daily Mail

Hyde Park

The lighting in this flat is incredible, this luxurious apartment is for sale on one of the most prestigious streets in London. I saw this article today on The Daily Mail, one of my favorite newspapers, and had to post it for inspiration. I would be surprised if all the lighting was not custom made for this space, it's perfectly dreamy!Could you ever get sick of a view like that? I know I could not!

Standard Track

Photo's from The Kitchn

This beautiful kitchen was featured on The Kitchn,  and I was blown away with how great the track looks in this space. Standard track has been around for a very long time, usually when I see a updated kitchen like this, if there is track, it is more commonly a monorail system. I must say I like the standard track in this kitchen better, the white track blends so well with the white ceilings and instead of the track standing out as a design element it is a functional light source. I am partial to blue kitchens since the house I grew up in has a striking cobalt blue kitchen. What do you think do you love the kitchen/track as much as I do?

Friday's Favorite: Birdcage Lights

I recently stumbled upon these birdcage lights from Quorum and I thought they were just so cute, perfect for spring and completely romantic. I can picture them in a greenhouse, a nursery, a little kids room, or a reading corner. These are just to precious not to show you all!
