Inspiration: Newport Mansions The Rosecliff
This is the Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. Again such breath taking beauty, this is one of the more romantic mansion. It is popular for weddings and anniversary celebrations, notice the heart shaped stair case! The Great Gatsby was filmed here in 1970's, the book by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is one of my favorites, and I loved the movie just as much. It's impossible not to be inspired by the stunning architecture and the elaborate interiors then to top it all off the property looks out to one of the most stunning views of the water I have ever seen!

LED Outdoor Fixture
Access has come out with a great LED wall washer outdoor fixture. We just put this one up in the showroom and everyone has been saying how much they like it, with such an impact in the showroom I thought I would post it here so you can view it online. Although I don't think this picture does it Justice, it is much better in person. It gives off a great light, each bulb is 3 watts, and LED does really well outside especially in the cold! I love how small it is, 5" diameter, and very low profile it only extends from the wall 3" this could be used almost anywhere.

Industrial Glamour
Hudson Valley Naugatuck Pendant 5109 $377.10
I LOVE subway tiles, espically for the back splash in a kitchen, this industrial looking kitchen is very stylish! Hudson Valley has a matching pendant, the naugatuck Pendant found here.
Color Contrast
Drum shade fixtures seem to be all the rage lately, I especially love this Orange/red one with the green backdrop! The glossy white fireplace and the black chairs make this room especially eye catching! Casandra at Coco + Kelley always seems to post the coolest rooms on her blog!

Railtones
Tech Lighting and LBL Lighting have come out with a new component for track lighting, railtones. It is a wireless speaker for audio!
Railtone speakers can be mounted on track systems, 12 volt and 24 volt monorail systems and standard track, on individual canopies aka free jack systems, and adapters are available so it can replace a recessed can. It is nice to have an option of spreading music throughout your home or office with this new railtone technology. There is no limit as to how many speakers you can use, the range of each speaker varies depending on the material in the space. Steel reinforced concrete will have the best effect, where as wood and drywall will have less impact. For more information on the range of the speakers go here.
The wireless transmitter can be plugged into almost any audio device with USB, 3.5mm earphone jack (like the ones on ipod's, iphone's or MP3 players), RCA jack, or there is also a plug-in power supply when you use a device other than a computer.
Railtones provides a way to have speakers anywhere you want, all you need is a standard electrical box and you can have both lighting and sound! It is great for entertaining and for your personal enjoyment!

Friday's Favorite: White Italian Ceramic
I came across these fixtures from Minka as I was searching for a completely different light for a client. I can't get enough of them, I think they would be perfect in a little girls room or a breakfast nook. They are made of Italian White Porcelain and totally have me swooning! It's a little different look from Minka's other products and maybe that is why it caught my eye.
