New in Store From TransGlobe
HH-1 |

We just put these two sizes of TransGlobe fixtures up in the showroom last week, today I saw this great picture on the blog, They All Hate Us, that has a nearly identical style of chandelier. I love seeing the fixtures in a great space like the one above, it gives it life, not that it doesn't looks fantastic hanging in the showroom next to a lot of other beautiful crystal, but its nice to see it in a home. I think this chandelier would also look great in a bathroom, give the space some glam and it uses halogen lights which is great in bathrooms.

Mad Men season 5 just started and everyone seems to be talking about it. Banana Republic did a Mad Men collection for clothing, Estee Lauder has a Mad Men makeup collection and it all seems to be flying off the shelves. Today I saw an article on how to decorate your home like the Mad Men set, so why not follow trend and give some lighting options as well?
I have noticed that in the show and in other interiors from the 50's and 60's wall sconces and portables, table and floor lamps seem to be the most prominent types of lighting. Almost all the elements are very modern but in a few places I have seen the crystal wall sconces which are very traditional. That table in Roger's office is still as popular today as it was in the early 60's... It is funny how trends seem to cycle through every so often. I can't wait for Sunday's episode, I have been sucked into the world of depressed housewives and the aggressive men on Madison Avenue.

Color Blocking

Color blocking is a big trend in
fashion right now; we have seen it on the runways, in the streets and at the
mall. But color blocking is not just for fashion, look at these great interiors
spaces with that color pop, it's brilliant! Adding color with lighting is a
great way to spruce up an otherwise dull room.
