Inspired by the subdued and comfortable style of Danish Modern design mixed with an unexpected edge the York sconce by Hudson Valley is my favorite sconce this week. Added to each back plate is a layer of highly polished crystal to add a little pizzazz. I have always been drawn to two-tone fixtures, but this one is the best yet!

Hinkley Lighting continues to expand one of my favorite families, the congress. The congress family has become quite expansive in its offerings from flush mounts to chandeliers and vanity lights, it is a play on the traditional schoolhouse glass, making it a little more hip while still holing onto the historical feel of early American design. I am impressed that every fixture is available in multiple finishes and glass options. Of course my favorite being the antique brass- I seriously have a love affair with brass! I grew up collecting rocks- I loved taking geology classes in school and now I have found a way to combine two of my loves, introducing the Rockstar a perfect combination of rocks and lighting! The Rockstar is made with natural Brazilian agate slices and finished with gold leaf. It's a beauty!!!
