Mila Wall Sconce 

Did you happen to watch Nashville this week? Towards the end of the most recent episode, On Again, Off Again, I noticed these Murray Feiss wall sconces in a scene. It was exciting because I have always loved these sconces, we have had them on display in the showroom in both the bronze and the brushed steel (shown here). I like how they are used in the scene to accent either side of a gallery wall. 

I have had customers use them as traditional picture lights above a painting and in a bathroom for light above the vanity. The great thing about these sconces is the light swivels to provide both direct and indirect light. It is a transitional piece that works in both contemporary applications (like Juliet Barnes house in Nashville) or more traditional spaces. Available in two sizes and finishes here.

Today I bring to you my favorite fixtures all under $100! There is no reason to sacrifice style when on a budget, here are some examples of fantastic finds that will not break the bank. 

Cornwall Terrace aka Billionaire's Row

The Daily Mail ran this article on million Euro rental properties in the UK, I of course was oohing and aahing over the lighting in this particular apartment. This beauty is Cornwall Terrace, no. 11 and it's about 8,883 sq. feet and overlooks Regent's park. What they got right, and they really should for the price, is the lighting. Notice how in all the spaces you have multiple lighting sources, recessed cans with a beautiful overhead light, as well as wall sconces and table/floor lamps. In any of these rooms you have control to create so many light levels. And really each lighting fixture is a piece of art, I may be biased but I think each light should do more than just provide light, it should be something beautiful to gaze upon.

I am so excited about these new fixtures from WAC  all of these fixtures are LED, I am very impressed with the color and light output from each of the fixtures. The thing I like most about these new fixtures is that we now finally have some great LED options in more traditional styles, the Astoria and the Bristol collections are such classic styles, of course they come in multiple finishes: antique nickel, burnished brass, burnishes bronze, and polished nickel. These are all up in our showroom so you can see for yourself how even the light is, you see no concentrated diodes shining through the glass, and the output far exceeds my expectations. They are so new I do not have them on our website yet, but come in the store to see how they look or email me for more information.

 Here we are again, another year has begun 2015 is going to be a great one! Lighting continues to evolve with the trends and there are more and more fantastic energy efficient solutions and now more than ever before you don't have to compromise style to get energy savings with a great light source. Here are my top picks from the new product line brought to you from Murray Feiss, each year they come out with a huge product line of new and beautiful fixtures. The lighting show hasn't even started yet, so you my friends get to see theses new fixtures before almost anyone. 

All of these fixtures can come with LED light bulbs some of them only have LED options, others you can use CFL if you choose. This is one of the reasons these fixtures made my list. I have now converted every fixture and lamp in my home to LED and I am so happy I did! I love the light source and I only use dimmable LED's having control of my light levels is important to me. I save money on my Rocky Mountain Power bill each month and I feel like I am doing a small part to leave less of a negative footprint on this earth. As far as I am concerned it's a win-win!!
