Today I bring to you my favorite fixtures all under $100! There is no reason to sacrifice style when on a budget, here are some examples of fantastic finds that will not break the bank.

So here is the thing I went weeks where all anyone wanted when they walked through the door was modern fans, and then one day- BAM! Rustic fans were the talk of the town, so to speak. Which is why I created What moves you part II: Rustic Fans. (If you remember I did part I here) 

Lets talk about the first fan in the post, yes that is in fact a fan! The blades are hidden inside that beautiful mica frame, and inside is a soft light. Isn't the Tall Pines design genius?

It is funny the way life goes, all at once I have customers who want the same style and then a month later a new group looking for something completely different, but almost always it comes in waves. The trend the last few weeks has been clean modern fans, so today I am featuring some top picks. Don't think that modern always means more expensive, one of these fans is less than $100- Can you guess which one? Would I recommend the one that is the least expensive over the most expensive? Absolutely not! These are all fantastic fans, great manufactures, gorgeous design and above all very functional. So what moves you? Which fan is your favorite? Hudson Valley's price point is a little higher than some of my other lines but even so the Mill Valley has outsold the rest and this quarter is my best seller in bathroom lighting. Not only is the Mill Valley brilliant at the bath vanity, its sturdy and attractive design shines in foyers, halls and staircases. Mill Valley's matte-finished cylinder of triplex opal glass glows brightly and evenly. The glass is capped with a finely knurled cast metal ring to add subtle detail. I'm sure it's the attention to little details and the use of quality materials that sets this apart from the others.

Double Wall Sconce:

This 2-light wall sconce comes in brushed nickel, chrome, bronze and brass. Its clean lines and a cloth shade helps create a warm atmosphere in any room in the house. I've sold this to be used above either side of a fire place/mantel, in dining rooms, for reading lights in bedrooms, and bathroom lighting, the price point is pretty great too!

The Back to Basic flush mount we sale by the hundreds, my personal favorite is the 20" because it uses 4 medium base light bulbs, pop in a CFL that is equivalent to 100 watts or a LED and you have really great light! Put this on a dimmer and you can create any light level you want. You don't have to have any "boob" lights in your closets or bedrooms ever again.

This flush mount is 10" in diameter and is perfect for small closets. 

Wave Fan in Distressed Koa

 The Wave has one of the best designs, not only is it functional it is piece of art for your room, a conversation piece. The Distressed Koa has sold the best at our store but the silver and white are in a close tie for 2nd- This year Minka Aire introduced this same fan with a LED light, the Light Wave you'll want to check it out.

 The Concept I and Concept II fan has been a best seller since 2005 and it's still my top selling fan

today, one great thing about Minka Aire is they send the Concept fans complete with handheld remotes. Who wants to get out of bed or off that comfortable couch to turn off a light or to control the fan, certainly not me.

Portsmouth Outdoor Flush Mount in Bronze

Outdoor Flush Mount:

The Portsmouth is a traditional/early American style collection of outdoor lighting. The cage helps protect the glass from breakage as well as contributes to the style. Seeded glass is also great in outdoor spaces since it helps hide the water buildup and dust that collects from direct exposure to all the weather elements.

I want to share a few of my favorite great room fans, these are all large enough to push air through large spaces and best of all they are stylish. We've had the slipstream up on display since the beginning of summer and we all think it's pretty awesome! My personal favorite is the Geo, I love the liquid nickle finish and the facets on the blades are unlike anything I've seen before. If you are on the market for a large fan go here, you have over 100 great options to choose from.

Fridays Favorite: FANZZZZ

Every year Minka Aire blows me away with their cool designs and this year is no exception. Here are a few of my top picks from the new fans:

 This first one is 84" wing spread! The Slipstream is HUGE!!! You may need to come in just to see the scale of this fan. It is also available in a 65" diameter and they come in multiple finishes.

This is the new Light Wave, The Wave has been a standing favorite for years, and now they make it with a LED light.

The Pancake looks like, well, a pancake. This was designed by one of the youngest designers in the industry, Minka Aire wanted a fan that would get the attention of a new generation of customers- this is one of the smallest, if not the smallest, motor housing you can find in a fan. To get the motor this small the standard fan motor was re-created to accommodate this unique design. As I said before I am very impressed.
